Systems and processes are key, and one of the things we’re really good at is helping people stay on track. You know, once we determine, you know, what a good maintenance interval is for them, you know, helping them, you know, make those appointments before they ever leave the office. But then, also, following up with them prior to the appointments to help them keep them. And helping them understand the why of it, you know? How prevention can go a long way to making more visits back to the dentist, you know, less frequent.
It goes back to our, first, we’re being proactive, so much easier to address things if we catch things earlier, or if we are consistent in our re-care, and our hygiene, and examinations, and X-rays from time to time. Like, we can catch things early if need be, if there are concerns, but we typically will stay ahead.
I mean, there’s an old saying, you know, “Prevention is better than the cure.” And that goes a long way in dentistry is that consistent, preventative measures, both at home, and we’ll teach you some things as you’re in here if we see ways that you might be able to improve at home. But just those consistent showing up is really, you know, a big part of the battle to minimize issues down the road.
